An outdoor focus session is a single session and could be for you if…
- You want to off load, and an opportunity to work out what you need with a trained professional
- You have a particular pressing problem that causing you distress right now
- You don’t want to commit to regular counselling sessions right now
With a few hours together we’ll look at one specific issue that’s causing you problems right now and work to find a way forward for you. Or you might just want a one-off session to learn more about yourself and look at areas to develop. By working in a very focused way to get the most out of our time together, there’ll be time for you to outline the problem or whatever is on your mind, then to explore it, really work to get to the heart of the issue, and for us to work out what’s next. Of course, if you decide at the end that you’d like to continue with more regular counselling then that’s great, but there’ll be no expectation that will happen.
We’ll be working outdoors in either a park or woodland, or on private land, and typically a session will be 2 hours long. Before the session we’ll have a quick online meeting, this will be to introduce ourselves and for me to outline some of the ways that we’ll work (for example confidentiality). If you’re happy to go ahead I’ll ask you a few things to consider before our session, and we’ll agree when/where we’ll be working.
It is of course a big challenge, we won’t be able to change the whole world in a single session, but we’ll work collaboratively, and in a concentrated way to try and change things for you.
